My Favorite TV shows

My Favorite TV shows
By: Abdulaziz Aldyaf

After a long exhausting day, there is nothing like sitting down and enjoying your favorite TV show. It can help you decompress your long exhausting day. Personally, I like all kinds of TV shows especially sitcoms. Over the past years, I watched most of the classic sitcoms, and if I had to pick favorites, I would go with F.R.I.E.N.D.S and Two and a half men. The plot of F.R.I.E.N.D.S revolves around six friends, who are completely different from each other, grow up together to be friends for life regardless of the obstacles they face. Joey, who is aiming to be a famous actor, Rachel, a runaway bride , who is trying to make it by herself without the help of her rich family, Phoebe, a hippy masseuse, Monica, a neat chef, Chandler, a sarcastic accountant, and Ross, a divorced scientist. At some point, they all lived in one of two adjacent New York City apartments. They spend most of their time at those apartments or at Central Perk Cafe. They talk about what they went through during the day while making fun of each other. Even though it’s a sitcom, it also includes two love stories within the group, which provides additional excitement to the show.  The other show is called Two and a half men, which is a sitcom as well, about a care free drunk womanizer, and how his life has changed when his brother and nephew moved in with him. The main characters are: Charlie, a jingle writer, Alan, a newly divorced chiropractor, and Jake, an 11 years old boy. The plot of the show revolves around how Alan and Jake interrupted Charlie’s life style when they moved in, and how Charlie manages to get away with the bad things that he does, while Alan, who is always trying to do the right thing, ends up in trouble. Although Alan is always trying to protect his son not to be influenced by Charlie’s life style, however it always proves to be a difficult task. The show also explores Charlie and Alan’s relationship with their mother, Evelyn, who is a self center horrible mother.
